The Twelve Strays of Christmas – Mr. Meowgi

Like most strays, Mr. Meowgi’s life before Pets Alive was a rough one. All we can hope is that, with our unconditional love, he has long forgotten his sad past.

Two years ago, our local Wallkill animal control officer brought us Mr. Meowgi, beaten up and in bad shape. This poor senior was skin and bones, matted with dried leaves, dirty, infested with lice and fleas, and in great need of immediate medical attention. His sweetness told us he was once a beloved pet who had now found himself outside in the cold fighting to survive. Why his circumstance changed we will never know.

Our handsome long-haired boy is ready to warm the hearts of a new family. Twelve years young, all he asks for is sunbeams, a soft bed and unconditional love for his golden years. He is FIV+ positive but doesn’t require any extra care…just your love and your lap for napping!

And guess what? Since the time of this original blog, Mr. Meowgi went home so he’ll spend the holidays with his new family!

Please donate to Pets Alive so we can continue to provide a safe landing spot and loving environment for strays in need. A donation today to our GENERAL ANIMAL CARE FUND will receive a matching donation towards our KENNEL BUILDING PROJECT thanks to our very special supporters Joe and Kelly Sicari.
