Nice to see your information putting a face to the Man! I am so pleased to see such success; you always have friends up in Dutchess County don't hesitate to contact for any requirements or needs! Helping hands are so needed in the mission and vision!

Hi Matt! I have just started to look at the new Pets Alive website and came across this. First let me say that it's wonderful to see your name and face attached to something. I remember reading numerous articles or blogs of Kerry's and thinking that she was talking about you...but often as the "who prefers to remain anonymous”. I want to send the best of luck your way! Reading this blog left me smiling but feeling very emotional. I guess that even though my month or so at Pets Alive was short in the big picture, it was enough to feel a deep connection to the place, the people, and of course, the animals. I know that I could walk back on the property and instantly feel like I’d never left despite the changes. I think this is because the mission of animal rescue and compassion is so strong that it’s almost palpable. The purpose of Pets Alive saturates the air. I am happy to have been able to experience that first hand. Although I’m left missing it, I am so grateful for my time there. Best of luck in carrying forward! Please tell Janet and Kerry hello!

When I saw Buck's sweet face on the euth list photo, I'd no idea how complicated the case would become. The starvation; the mangled leg--and he was four hours upstate! So of course I called Pets Alive--even though it was such a difficult time for them with Best Friends leaving. And they were there for this suffering animal who, like so many, has a heart of pure gold. Thank you, from the bottom of my, our, hearts. Thank you, Matt. Thank you, Kerry. Thank you Pets Alive. Thank you, Rose T--a very kind supporter who just happened to overhear some details of Buck's case, and helped greatly with the thousands in vet bills. Thank you: such plain, unfanciful words--they don't truly capture how much everyone did, and gave, so this face on a picture who was Buck--hopeless, suffering, had no future, had no present life worth living--could be saved. Buck and I are so very grateful to all of you. You made a difference--you ARE making a difference. You're saving the lives no one thinks about, cares about, takes a moment to help--and God bless you for it.

AWE... you love your volunteers!!! As you know, we have proven over the past 10 months or so... we will do anything for the animals at Pets Alive. Yes Anything. From mucking the pastures (which is my all-time favorite thing to do) to giving kisses to puppies; we are willing to do it all. Fixing the runs, raking the paths whatever it takes to keep Pets Alive running, the animals happy and Sara's dream alive.

Give us a project and we will accomplish it.

Lots of Luv and hugs!

Matt, I finally met you last weekend (my Lace is fostering Badgee). What great stories you have to tell those of us who only started volunteering when Best Friends got involved with "rescuing the rescuers". Please share more of the past - happy and sad - with us whenever you can.
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing you again this weekend when I come to play with the kitties and the pups. :o)
