I never met Sara, but spoke with her frequently on the phone-she was frequently gruff, overworked, growly, surly, and about one of the best people I knew. I worked at the Adoption Center at the Humane Society of New York, and was introduced to Sara through my then coworker. I thought I had never spoken with someone so rude in my whole life, and in the next instant, she melted my heart by helping out with a very tough case. I am so sad to hear of her passing, but am glad to hear that the work at PA goes on. My thoughts, prayers and lots of light energy are with you all, and the great work you do. Unfortunately, I never met your Mom and during her animal welfare network since up until the year prior to her demise, I never knew PA was even there--until I began seeking for local Sanctuaries! I am in an adjacent County and through learning of your Mom's devotion to animals and her personal sacrifices; interest has been generated and synergy created to support her wishes and continues among those who love animals. Many silently support PA and their mission, gaining support is do-able on so many levels. One salient sentiment held among animal lovers is we have no boundaries of how much we are willing to help either a person or animal! Kerry, Matt, and all involved have fulfilled and continue to fulfill the expectations of their roles! Well wishes to you all...I am here if you need. Tim;

She was a unique human being, and her heart was undeniably kind. I was not able to attend her memorial, but regardless, I am sure her spirit is finally at peace, as it deserves to be. My Mother is out there, part of something better, and still chain smoking..... I miss her dearly, and wish that those who remember Sara never forget her dedication and devotion towards the rescue agency she created. Rest Easy Ma, I love You.
