Dear Sirs,
My beloved dog, Baxter, passed away of a heart attack and I had just purchased many pills for him.
I would like to donate them to you, as you keep animals alive and I respect that so much. I know you have older animals and are in need of these meds, Please use them the best way you can for the most needed.
I am also enclosing a small check for whatever you need.
I hope it helps somewhat.

It is a wonderful idea for people to do that, most shelters won’t take open meds. I won a USA Harvest contest which involves simply this. You collect canned food and this was for the Goo Goo Dolls, whoever brings the most food, wins a meet and greet with the band. They have 2 street team members that co ordinate with the local shelter for whatever city they are in. I wish Rob would consider doing this for his tour and instead of people food, do dog and cat food. Think of the $ that could be saved on food and then used for meds to help save animals….just sayin…

besides getting the fans involved it makes people aware. I was so into this coz after hurricane katrina we were without food for a few days, finding food in plastic wrappers and then finally breaking into a neighbors home and eating from a jar of peanut butter and found some crackers, smeared with finger, but it was food…I know how it is to not have food.
